Introduction

Once upon a time, the man was a nomad. He used to travel from place to place with his group. He travelled in search of prey. He travelled in search of pasture for his cattle. During this period he experienced a lot as well as he learnt a lot. This is the time when he discovered agriculture. Then he led a settled and peaceful life, Still, he had to travel with his family at various times in search of new places to settle on.
Because his group increased in number. But now after a lot of hustle man is leading a fully settled life. He does not feel the necessity of travelling. He does not gather the experience of travelling. He does not learn through the romancer of travel.

            So, wise men encourage us to go on travelling. Travelling teaches us many things which the book can't. That's why teachers encourage the students to go on travelling. The Government also aggressively grants money to the schools and colleges for travelling purpose. It is known as a study tour.

Usefulness of travelling

           Travelling is of much use to us. By travelling we know about the new place and the people living therein. It expands our knowledge. We gather new experience and new knowledge. It is a thrilling romance for us to take up an adventurous journey. Travel gives us knowledge and teach us many things and also gives us experience at the same time. Travel gives us wisdom. It is scientifically proved that we learn better by travelling than through books. In books, we read the experience and knowledge of other people.

           But in travel, we directly experience and directly know every object and everything in our own way. We develop the qualities of time management, remain calm at every moment, be positive, patience and frugality as we travel. We learn how to contact unknown people and establish a relationship with them.
So, travelling is a great teacher too. Faihein, Hiuentsang and Marco Polo were the great travellers of the old. Faihein and Hiuentsang travelled from China to India. Marco Polo travelled from Venice to China. They left very valuable accounts of their travel for us. We learn a lot by reading their travel accounts.

Conclusion

            Travelling is, no doubt, useful. So, every student should take up travels three or four times a year. They can travel during their holidays and vacations. For employees summer and other vacation is one of the best choices to travel with their family and friends. We should know the value of travelling.
